PRINCIPLES
The principles set out in the paragraphs below are the foundation of RKH Lodge. They are enduring principles established to assist the Lodge in staying true to the intention and purpose of the lodge.
The Lodge holds education as a principal focus. This is realized through quality events at each meeting, and also through encouraging members to write papers, engage in Masonic discussions, and other activities and pursuits that act to expand the understanding and practice of Freemasonry in their lives. We believe that the Masonic principle of "making good men better" requires insightful and inspiring input that helps the Brother grow as a man and Mason.
The founding members believe it is important that we support new Brothers, as well as mentor and nurture them, both to build them as Masons, and men. The Lodge will accomplish this by providing new members with opportunities for mentorship and to excel within the Lodge. The Lodge will establish and promote a culture of collaboration and sharing amongst the Brethren.
RKH Lodge will create an atmosphere of decorum in all our interactions, particularly in Masonic work and lodge experiences. Emphasis is given to decorum and protocol during Lodge meetings, and to treating The Craft with the solemnity and respect with which it is due.
Ralph K. Howell Lodge holds ritual in the highest regard and believes that degrees should be meaningful the candidate. For this reason all Lodge meetings, ceremonies, and degrees must be conducted with high proficiency. Emphasis is given to creating a profound experience through the degrees and ritual work.
